Shabbat service

Shabbat Morning Services are led by Rabbi Emily and Cantor Melissa. They are grounded in music, guided by clergy, and celebratory of lay leadership. Services include a mix of Hebrew (with transliteration provided), with both traditional egalitarian and interpretive translations.

Unless otherwise noted, services will be both in person and on Zoom. Please check our calendar to confirm each week's offerings

HaMatmid (ZOOM ONLY)

We study a broad range of topics, which have included the structure and prayers of services, the Jewish holiday cycle, and how a Torah scroll is created. We've held workshops to help people get more out of the High Holy Days. Some people have studied with us for years; others drop when they can. Next we'll look at... what? Tell us what you've always wanted to know more about!

Kabbalat Shabbat

Join us at 6:00pm for a warm, musical Kabbalat Shabbat Service.

(NOTE: 6:00PM start time is in effect for January 5 - March 8, 2024.)

Services are always both in-person and on Zoom, unless otherwise specified. For Zoom access, please check your weekly newsletter or contact admin [at] westendsynagogue.org (Joan).

Online services may be "Hybrid" or "Livestream" in format:
