Jeffrey Heller’s main professional interest is asylum law. He is a uniformed National Park Service volunteer at the National Museum of Immigration on Ellis Island, where he shares information, introduces movies, and gives guided tours.
Please join us for our commemoration of Yom HaShoah. We will hear from our member Grace Rapkin about the story of her mother— the only member of her family to survive the Holocaust, and we will mourn the immeasurable loss of life and community with music from our members and reflections from our 7th graders.

Roberta Franco Glick will discuss the role of the World Jewish Congress, its origins and the importance of having a liberal Jewish voice in Israel. She will also comment on the impact of the liberal Jewish contingent on Israeli society.
Ms. Franco Glick represented ARZA at the World Jewish Congress in Jerusalem.
We study a broad range of topics, which have included the structure and prayers of services, the Jewish holiday cycle, and how a Torah scroll is created. We've held workshops to help people get more out of the High Holy Days. Some people have studied with us for years; others drop in when they can. Next we'll look at... what? Shabbat Morning Services are led by Rabbi Emily or Cantor Melissa. They are grounded in music, guided by clergy, and celebratory of lay leadership. Services include a mix of Hebrew (with transliteration provided), with both traditional egalitarian and interpretive translations. Services are preceded by Torah Study session 9:00-9:45am.
