Shabbat Morning Services are led by Rabbi Emily and Cantor Melissa. They are grounded in music, guided by clergy, and celebratory of lay leadership. Services include a mix of Hebrew (with transliteration provided), with both traditional egalitarian and interpretive translations.

Please join us after Kiddush for our 10th in-person reading of three Jewish short stories. This time, our stories will focus on the subject of rabbis and how they deal with families, doubters and skeptics.
Selected Jewish Short Stories is a series of curated readings of short stories coordinated by Dan Van Doren, and read by members of West End Synagogue, in English.

Discussion and text study of West End’s Middah (ethical value/character trait) of the month.
Our Middah study group meets on the third Monday of each month, led by Susan Schorr. All WES members are invited to join our study of a selected Middah of the month. Discussions are text-based using materials from both ours and other spiritual traditions, as well as insights from modern authors, pop culture and more. Texts may range from Talmud to Psychology Today, from Maimonides to Leonard Cohen, from modern-day rabbis to classic Broadway.
