Rachel Oshrin, an experienced and dynamic teacher, has been teaching everyone from toddlers to teens in West End's Jewish Family Life & Learning programs for several years.

In 2021, she joined the West End team in a new capacity as the Director of Jewish Family Life & Learning. Rachel eagerly provides an engaging and welcoming environment for JFLL students of all ages, encouraging them to develop a lasting connection to the West End Synagogue community.

Rachel's experience in Jewish education, coupled with her background in theatre and arts education, allows her to provide a multifaceted approach to West End Synagogue’s unique brand of Jewish education. She is a graduate of Muhlenberg College, where she studied Theatre and English.

Outside of West End, Rachel has taught at other synagogues in and around NYC, spent many years as a counselor and supervisor at Jewish summer camps, and performed with The Bible Players, an educational Jewish comedy group. In addition to her work in education, Rachel is a stage manager and actor. She loves bringing elements of all of these experiences into her work at West End, providing a new perspective to and enhancing our JFLL programming.
