3rd Annual Smash The Stigma
A Jewish Communal Conversation on Suicide and Depression
The program is organized by Congregation Shearith Israel’s Caring Connection.
This year, West End Synagogue is one of the co-sponsors. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and start conversations about suicide and depression in the Jewish community. A representative of National Alliance on Mental Illness-NYC will moderate a 3-person panel, consisting of an artist who experienced severe depression, a parent and a psychologist.

Smash The Stigma is held annually during Mental Health Awareness Month and co-sponsored by a consortium of UWS synagogues and Jewish institutions, which this year include: B'nei Jeshurun, The Jewish Center, Ohab Zedek, Ramath Orah, Darkhei Noam, Rodeph Sholom, West End Synagogue, and the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan.
