Cafe Israel- Hai Piesezky, speaker

The West End Synagogue Israel Connections and Adult Education Committees invite you to participate in our upcoming f-4-part monthly Cafe Israel series. 

     Cafe Israel will feature monthly discussions over coffee, tea and cookies led by our Upper West Side Sh'liach Hai Piesezky. 

     The four scheduled dates as are follows:

       1. March 16th - The Israeli army experience and its psychological, emotional and professional effects on the            lives of Israeli young people.                

       2. April 27th - Living in border towns next to Gaza - a case study of Israeli communities under siege.

       3. May 18th - Can one be a secular Jew in Israel and the need for religious pluralism.

       4. June 15th - What does it mean to be Jewish in Israel versus being Jewish in America.

     All programs will begin at 7:00 and will be approximately an hour and a half in length.
